The 4:00 BeerMy dear friend Shannon has implemented the "4:00 beer" at her house. She has 3 kids under the age of 5 and I applaud her for not being drunk all day long. Shannon is pretty open about her 4:00 beer and has started to suggest it to all her mommy friends who stay home with their children all day. The idea is catching on and while in a conversation with another mom last week I heard her reference the 4:00 beer! Love it!
Today while reading the news online I saw a picture of President Obama sipping a cold one at a Wizards game! Shannon, look, your idea is catching on with the President. We know he spends the day with children: senators, congressman, lobbyists... Go for it President Obama; you deserve it!

I don't have anything to say about the beer but I want to comment about the goldfish. Unless you have a tank with a filter and oxygen flowing around the goldfish will die with a day or two. Been there, done that - many times. You could get a Beta fish and they do well in a small bowl, they are also much prettier to look at. Also, if you get a small tank for goldfish, I don't actually recommend goldfish. They are rather dirty fish and produce ammonia, I think, that other fish don't really like to swim in. If you get a real tank I would suggest schooling fish, they are lots of fun for the kids to watch and really easy to maintain.
Well, that's my two cents.
Well, as I am giving up alcohol for Lent, I will have to join in on (and whole-heartedly support) the 4:00 beer in spirit. Oh, and as for fish names, I think my favorite is my nephew, Austin, naming his first (and second, and third, and fourth, unbeknownst to him) fish House.
I think you are simply halarious...I hate beer though.
