Praying for Your Kids Monday
At a Crossroad

Alrighty friends, truth time. I don't know that I'm feeling the PYKM posts anymore. I have just started praying about it and am not feeling a nudge either way so I'm bringing it to you to let you help me decide.

Last week when I didn't get any comments about how your conversations with your kids went I started wondering if anyone is reading PYKM. I know my Cousin Rhonda is but I'm not sure about anyone else. I'm not fishing for compliments or kudos...I just want to know if you're still diggin' it because I'm not sure I am and if you're not then I'm probably going to take a PYKM hiatus.

So seriously, leave a comment or shoot me an email (or take the poll on the right) and let me know your thoughts. I'm still going to blog, you can't get rid of me that easy, but like I said, I may take a PYKM sabbatical.

Just keepin' it real soul sisters and brothers.

I read them and love them. I actually think it's what sets your blog apart from so many others. There is a purpose and some practical spiritual advice to be taken from PYKM, and as much as I love your funny blog posts and your promises of shirtless photos of Jeff, there is value in the PYKM posts that people can't find other places.

So you can take my two cents for what it's worth, considering that I am your BFF of 20+ years and am just a teeny bit biased, but I vote keep 'em comin, lady.

Ditto to bug. Ditto big time. But, I also understand the need for a hiatus while you take a breather, pray for new subjects to become clear, talk with your beasties (ha!) about topics, etc....

Love,
Shannon

I read them every Monday and look forward to the insight and weekly reminder. I need LOTS of reminders ;) I, of course want you to keep em coming, but completely understand the need to take a break. Do what is best for you and your family :)

Keep doing what God gave you to do until He tells you to stop and do something else. Your blog is important to parents. If God tells you to stop, then stop, if He doesn't then pray harder for direction. This isn't about you. This is about obediance. Our children are the future to carry on the Gospel to the world. They need to be prayed for. If your blog helps them to have direction and keeps them praying for their children then you need to keep doing it. I often tell people about PYKM to help them in praying for their kids. You need to pray pray and pray some more before you hang this up.

I love PYKM! I think agree with Traci...it's what sets your blog apart from others. But your mom is righttoo (aren't they always?)...listen to what God is telling you. You are a gifted writer and you put into words a direction for moms to really pray for their children in a focused way! I would miss it a lot. And about the posts/comments. Just because we aren't posting doesn't mean we aren't reading and benefiting from PYKM. I rarely post...but I read a lot!

I have to agree Jen, I read them every week and it is what reminds me to pray for my babies!!! I don't post but I would miss them if they were gone. - Cary

so my original comment about PYKM didn't make it for some reason. but here I am, on Monday (at least where I live), coming to see whether or not PYKM is alive and well or on sabbatical. maybe i'll check in later - when it's Monday where you live.
